पूर्णिया विश्वविद्यालय ने स्पष्ट किया है कि PAT 2024 के माध्यम से म्यूजिक और ज्योग्राफी विषयों में नामांकन नहीं लिया जाएगा। इसका मुख्य कारण यह है कि इन विषयों के शिक्षकों की बहाली वर्ष 2025 में की गई है। इसी प्रकार, PAT 2025 के लिए मैथिली विषय में शिक्षकों की उपलब्धता न होने के कारण इस विषय में नामांकन प्रक्रिया आयोजित नहीं की जाएगी। विश्वविद्यालय प्रशासन ने सीटों की संख्या में वृद्धि की है ताकि अधिक शोधार्थियों को अवसर मिल सके।
