Magadh University PhD Entrance Philosophy Syllabus
Time: 3 Hours
Full Marks: 100 Marks
Paper-1
It will contain objective type questions from the groups and topics underneath. There will be seventy five (75) objective type questions, twenty five questions. in each group. The students are required to answer fifty (50) questions, carrying 2 marks each. They are also required to answer at least Ten (10) questions from each group

Contemporary Indian Philosophy

- S. Radhakrishnan: Intellect & Intuition, Absolute, doss as owl prys world.ens od of eis Varioidw
- Swami Vivekanand: Karmayoga, Man and his Destiny.
- Sr Aurobindo: Super Mind and Divine life tonsa ehille bris.(ato Universal Religion).
Group- B
Philosophy of Religion and Comparative Religion
- Proofs, for the existence of God Ontological, Cosmological, Existence of God, Theological.
- Problem of evil – Types of evil, Theistic proofs in favour of evil.
- Religious language – Hare, Tillich, Ayer, Acquinas.
- God, soul, salvation, Immortality with reference to Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Jainism.
Group- C
Buddhist Metaphysics and Logicnen
- Four Noble Truthsto
- Anatmavada
- Shunyavada
- Theory of Momentriness
- Theory of Anuman.
Paper-II
The paper will carry 100 marks consisting three groups. viz. (A) Indian Philosophy, (B) Western Philosophy and (C) Ethics and Soc Ethics and Social Philosophy. The questions will be equal value.
