Magadh University PhD Entrance Persian Syllabus

Time: 3 Hours

Full Marks: 100 Marks

PAPER – I

There shall be 50 questions each consisting o two marks based on General Awareness of Persian at Post-Graduate level prescribed in Paper II Time – 3 Hours

PAPER – II

There shall be three sections A, B. & C comprising 40,40 & 20 marks respectively. Candidate shall be required to answer two questions from sectio A, two from section B and one from section C.

Section – A (40 mark)

The section A consist of short essay type descriptive and explanatory questions.

This section will cover question from :-

1. Literary history of Persian.
2. History of Islam.
3. History of Iran.

Section B (40 marks)

This section will consist of Prose and Poetry short essay type descriptive and explanatory question one from, Prose and one from Poetry to be answered from following Topics.

Prose – Akhlaque Jajali, Chahar Moqala, Khusru, Shabnamo shadab, Safar-nama-e-Nasir.

Poetry – Modern Persian, Poets, Bahar Mashhads. Lahooti, Parveen, Titeshami, Nima.

Section – C (20 marks)

This section will consist of three questions out of which one is to be answered. There will be comprehensive essay (Moquala) to be attempted.
